Our 2nd project for YogaLife was an old supermarket in Poynton had been split up into 3 units. It started life as a large open space with old electric sliding doors and a tired facade.
We started by dividing it up into a studio, male and female changing rooms with showers, a disabled WC and reception area. Once the walls had been built we insulated them all to keep the heat in. The studio was given the full YogaLife treatment – wooden clad walls, mirrors, intelligent colour changing mood lighting and the all important heaters.
The studio needs to get to around 32c so the insulation is paramount. So with this in mind we had the old concrete ceiling and walls sprayed with a specialist foam. This ensures the building is energy efficient and no nasty drafts which can cause a chill! All the benches in the changing rooms were bespoke as was the reception desk. We used the same wood as in the studio to keep the YogaLife theme consistent.
We installed European Oak doors with large pull handles to give the studio a classy feel. The shopfront was finished off with some lovely signage and all painted in the YogaLife corporate
colours. We swapped the nasty old sliding doors nice shiny new aluminium and glass door, powder coated to match the paintwork. Everyone was really happy with the end result and we have confirmed our third project with YogaLife to commence later in 2019 as this innovative well-being activity continues to thrive.
